Pam Slocum Fine Art
"Some lucky people spend much of their time and energy with humans and pets they love and things they find beautiful. If they choose to be an artist they share what they find beautiful, humorous, dear, intense or touching by looking closely then declaring what they see as clearly and profoundly as their skills allow. (I identify with the poet Emily Dickenson for her intense observation of her nearby world.)
Because I am one of those lucky people with beautiful things around me, that is primarily what I paint: studies from my everyday life, vegetables and flowers from my garden, bushes, trees and leaves from my yard, doors with shadows, windows with curtains, even humorous observations. I invite you to visit my world."
